DESCRIPTION:Top Tier Gravel Race Event\n\nThe USA Cycling Gravel National Championships locally Championed by Explore Minnesota will be coming to La Crescent\, MN on September 12\, 2026. Riders will be put on a course through stunning bluff country\, where challenging climbs push limits\, and technical descents test skills. When the race is done the celebration begins with our finish line party & industry expo! Check out the recap video from 2025 to enjoy a little taste of what the event and the Apple Capital of Minnesota have to offer! \nThe VonBuckinator will be set up on Friday before the race and Saturday during the race to clean and wax chains. SUMMARY:Old Fashioned Gravel Bike Event
DESCRIPTION:Get your gravel on and get your chain waxed!\n“We are fortunate enough to have some of the best gravel riding in the Midwest and have put together four routes to show off the local terrain. As with all of our rides\, we offer a little bit of everything and welcome EVERYONE from novice riders to the most seasoned racers. The focus of the ride is to bring like-minded individuals together for a great ride\, but we will have professional timing so if you want to race we will have you covered too! Routes that will satisfy all of your gravely desires\, and a post-ride gathering with food\, drink\, and hangs with new friends.” \nWe will introduce an awesome new venue in Hokah Minnesota\, a rustic farm nestled in a scenic coulee. While the ride is about riding with other rad people like yourself\, rest assured a portion of your entry fee will go to a local entity that could use a little financial help. If we can have a super fun time while helping others\, that is what will make this a successful event. We will also be using local businesses to feed and hydrate us. Hokah is a super cool little town\, and we would love to help keep our money local. \nAll routes will leave and finish at the farm. The gravel is approximately two miles from the start line\, and one mile of that is a paved climb\, once you are on the ridge\, the dust shall start flying! All routes will descend this paved section upon return to the finish line. \nThe Vonbuckinator will be set up during the event to clean and wax your chain. Our routes are designed to give riders the chance to fully experience rural Central Wisconsin passing by dairy farms\, over pristine rivers & creeks\, through beautiful canopies of hardwoods during peak fall colors\, while rolling over red granite aka red gold. \nThis event is part of the Ironbear 1000 which highlights Wisconsin’s epic gravel. Bring friends & family for the weekend’s festivities (see more info below). The Red Granite Grinder was rated by Strambecco as one of the top three cycling events in Wisconsin! \n  \nThe VonBuckinator will be set up in Athens park\, cleaning and waxing chains on race day!

SUMMARY:Iceman Cometh Challenge - Mountain Bike Race
DESCRIPTION:TENTATIVE – The Iceman Cometh Challenge is a point-to-point mountain bike race held traditionally on the 1st Saturday of November. Over 5\,000 riders from across the country and around the globe converge on Traverse City for 30 miles of fast\, fun racing capped off with the biggest party of the season! Presented by Trek Bikes\, we’ve spent the last three decades supporting active\, healthy\, and fun mountain biking in northern Michigan. We will be set up cleaning and applying hot wax to bike chains Friday afternoon before the race and Saturday during the events.
