DESCRIPTION:About the Apple Blossom Tour\n\nWhat started out as an event to bring the community together for a bike ride\, is now a well-organized bicycle tour that draws people from the tri-state area and beyond for a dynamic experience. \nA few Rotarians got together and did what they do best; they started a journey to create positive change in the community by creating a bike ride to raise funds. Rotary connects you with a diverse group of people who have a common drive to give back to the community. Since 2013\, proceeds from the Apple Blossom Bike Tour have benefited polio eradication\, community projects that include parks\, the community garden and youth programs such as Robotics and Lego League\, just to name a few. Rotary extended its generosity by partnering with two amazing scholarships to carry on the legacies of two local women. \nRegister today to enjoy this ride and to find out what everyone’s talking about! We’ve curated routes that highlight the vistas and valleys of one of the most beautiful areas in the country. \nThe VonBuckinator will be set up in Veterans Park. For a paltry $20 Donation to the La Crescent Rotary Club we will clean and HOT wax your bike chain!

DESCRIPTION:Top Tier Gravel Race Event\n\nThe USA Cycling Gravel National Championships locally Championed by Explore Minnesota will be coming to La Crescent\, MN on September 12\, 2026. Riders will be put on a course through stunning bluff country\, where challenging climbs push limits\, and technical descents test skills. When the race is done the celebration begins with our finish line party & industry expo! Check out the recap video from 2025 to enjoy a little taste of what the event and the Apple Capital of Minnesota have to offer! \nThe VonBuckinator will be set up on Friday before the race and Saturday during the race to clean and wax chains. DESCRIPTION:Get your gravel on and get your chain waxed!\n“We are fortunate enough to have some of the best gravel riding in the Midwest and have put together four routes to show off the local terrain. As with all of our rides\, we offer a little bit of everything and welcome EVERYONE from novice riders to the most seasoned racers. The focus of the ride is to bring like-minded individuals together for a great ride\, but we will have professional timing so if you want to race we will have you covered too! Routes that will satisfy all of your gravely desires\, and a post-ride gathering with food\, drink\, and hangs with new friends.” \nWe will introduce an awesome new venue in Hokah Minnesota\, a rustic farm nestled in a scenic coulee. While the ride is about riding with other rad people like yourself\, rest assured a portion of your entry fee will go to a local entity that could use a little financial help. If we can have a super fun time while helping others\, that is what will make this a successful event. We will also be using local businesses to feed and hydrate us. Hokah is a super cool little town\, and we would love to help keep our money local. \nAll routes will leave and finish at the farm. The gravel is approximately two miles from the start line\, and one mile of that is a paved climb\, once you are on the ridge\, the dust shall start flying! All routes will descend this paved section upon return to the finish line. \nThe Vonbuckinator will be set up during the event to clean and wax your chain. SUMMARY:Iceman Cometh Challenge - Mountain Bike Race
DESCRIPTION:TENTATIVE – The Iceman Cometh Challenge is a point-to-point mountain bike race held traditionally on the 1st Saturday of November. Over 5\,000 riders from across the country and around the globe converge on Traverse City for 30 miles of fast\, fun racing capped off with the biggest party of the season! Presented by Trek Bikes\, we’ve spent the last three decades supporting active\, healthy\, and fun mountain biking in northern Michigan. We will be set up cleaning and applying hot wax to bike chains Friday afternoon before the race and Saturday during the events.
